How to express negative emotions, positively?

Racquelle
By Racquelle

Negative emotions are part of our daily lives. But it differs on how we express it?

Is there anobody in QL who knows how to express negative emotions, positively?

I was just taking the time to give you some friendly advice.

Respect is about treating people equally.

Oryx, my apology does not mean I asking a lesson on how to live my life.

By Oryx• 19 Sep 2010 20:03
Oryx

Its an idiomatic expression where you got the preposition wrong.

You should try and treat people the same regardless of race, religion or gender.

It's an idiomatic expression. I thought you knew, unless you chose not to know.

what does that mean?

a dog barks UP a tree

a dog pisses ON a tree

and BTW I am not a dog - even on a bad day with altitude sickness. :)

What does the photo have to do with forgiving?

Why turn it positive if you really feel so negative. Don't fake it.

By Oryx• 19 Sep 2010 19:33
Oryx

I would be furious if a partner/friend posted something about me on the internet without talking to me first.

Why all the drama???? It is bizarre behaviour. Dirty washing is best laundered privately to maintain dignity.

By nomerci• 19 Sep 2010 19:32

By Oryx• 19 Sep 2010 19:27

Errrrrrr how about talking to him instead of plastering it on the Internet?

Cos if he has done nothing wrong - then your reaction is really bad - and if he has done something wrong why would you want a whole load of people knowing your private business?

By snessy• 19 Sep 2010 19:13

Kicking him in the goolies followed by threatening to take his child away and then I would ask him WTH...I know hubby well enough now to know if he's lying. If I had the slightest doubt in my mind, it's upto him to convince me otherwise. What I do know is if he ever cheated on me, he wouldn't get a second chance - child or no child!

By britexpat• 19 Sep 2010 18:46
britexpat

What would you do ??

After kicking him in the goolies i mean ....

By snessy• 19 Sep 2010 18:35
snessy

This is what I don't get...if this is true, why would you waste time adding a topic on a public forum instead of asking hubby straight out? If you're married, you must be able to communicate and not beat around the bush! People on a website like QL come from all over the world with lots of different ideas and views on relationships. They have no idea what your marriage is like nor do they know if hubby is likely to cheat. Talk to the man, it'll be alot quicker to get your answer! Rant over...

By jpa• 19 Sep 2010 18:35

Tell your friend to tell her hubby straight that she found a lipstick in his car. If he wants to know her secret, he has to buy a new car for her.

Positive side: she will get a new car

its probably much simpler than that....he might have given a ride to any of his female office colleagues.

but its always better to ask him out than keep brooding over it..

negative + positive= negative

you can smile outside but inside your dying.

so whats the point of faking it?

By britexpat• 19 Sep 2010 18:18

OK,, Enough of the jokes.

There is NO positive side here. He has found someone new. Someone who tarts herself up for him and makes him happy.

So, move on....... Sorry.. Tell your friend to move on or better still find a lover with a bigger car..

Logic flowchart:

Only lip stick = the guy is a cross dresser

Lipstick + thong = Confirmed cross dress who changes in the car.

Lipstick on thong = The guy does other guy in the car :(

habibthy, cool down girl! don't cry...its just that finding a lipstick needn't mean the guy is cheating, right? Maybe he gave a lift to some old lady who mistakenly dropped her lipstick in his car. This is just one possibility. Tell your friend to straight go ask her DH about it and not just jump to conclusions and expect the worst!

Used lipstick in the car does not neccessarily mean affair..

Look positively - Its hot here and he may have bought it by mistake instead of lip balm.

Look positively - He may only be a cross dresser and not in an affair.

Look positively - He may be having an affair. Then the slut can have him.

Look positively - He may be having an affair, but may also have caught an STD which will make his todger fall off..

Fathima, the negative emotion is jealousy. When a person is jealous she is capable of doing things that she would regret for a very long time.

My point in posting is to ask how to turn that negative emotion in a positive and maybe counter productine one.

At the moment my tears are flowing because some people are trying to ridicule my request.

What positive advice can one offer a wife who finds out her hubby wears lipstick? At least thats what it seems like. Of course I can think more "negatively" about the guy based on the findings but then it would defeat the whole "positive" factors this OP was about!

The problem is my best friend found a used lipstick in her hubby's car. Naturally, she is jealous, because her husband is every woman's dream.

Do you have any positive suggestion?

don't shoot off ur mouth when u r angry, pause urself and then converse in such a way that the other person understand ur disagreement/ anger and explain the reasons for the same.

better still try to find positives in such situations and cool off as some posters responded but that’s not practical in some cases

Some things in life are bad,

They can really make you mad.

Other things just make you swear and curse.

When you're chewing on life's gristle,

Don't grumble, give a whistle,

And this'll help things turn out for the best, and...

Always look on the bright side of life..
