BURGER KING MARKHIYA - BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

I just really need to share a horrible experience which I had with Burger King Markhiya. I called in for delivery, gave my number since we had a record with them before. The guy on the phone said that they are not delivering in my area since it's far away. I explained that they have delivered numerous times before. Since Im really craving for flame grilled burgers, I called BK Westbay, the guy told me that my area is covered by Markhiya branch. So, I called again... Same guy answered, again he got into the script that its far away, I asked for a supervisor, as predicted, he said there's no supervisor, he said the place is busy and he's the one in charge, I took his name. I again asked why he cant take my order. This time he said that on their screen, it shows as DO NOT TAKE ORDER! I insisted on talking to a manager, he refused and eventually shouted and hung up on me... I was shocked! I guess the stubborn side of me just wouldnt let it go.. I again dialled the number and this time I asked my husband to talk to the man. He was given the same spiel, but when my hubby asked for the reason, he was put on hold, and when the man went back on the line, quite surprisingly, they were ready to take the order. Btw, my hubby asked who he's speaking with, a name was given. Funny though, it was a different name BUT same voice.. I finally gave my order..

I am very much appalled by how Burger King tolerates this behaviour. I have had more than 10 years experience in customer service, and GOLDEN RULE is: Customer satisfaction should always be prioritized! Taking ownership and control of the situation is good, but giving false information, exhibiting unpleasant behaviour is a BIG NO-NO. What disgusts me the most is the fact that when it was me who was on the phone, the man was so rude and yet when it was my hubby, he was totally different. Is it an issue of gender? Or nationality?

LOL! I was actually thinking of the worst, but as it turns out, I didnt have to, the delivery took nearly 2 hours because the driver couldnt find our place. So, when he came, we had ordered from someplace else, but of course the hubby still paid for the burgers..

you name the company, almost all of them have a bad customer service.

otherwise why would you put up with this. By the way, sometimes places do refuse to deliver to places they have delivered to in the past. Several places I use will tell me No when they are having busy, crazy nights. I simply move on, they don't deserve my business on those days.

The funny thing is that you still ordered from Burger King. The golden rule is if a company does not provide good customer service and no manager is available to report this do NOT buy anything from them. Only this teaches them a lesson.

UK I would be more concerned about the white sauce...

When your "hubby" talked he changed the song then your hubby is white...isnt he?...lol

The guy at BK was surely having a bad day but that is not an excuse for his behaviour, if he cannot handle it he should not be in a job where customer service is a priority. In Qatar there is a general lac of "Customer Service" for reasons like very low salary and bad living conditions of staff, basically you cannot expect overworked and under paid humans to be happy all the time but then again the choice is entirely theirs so they should do their job as expected and I suggest you should still take this up with the BK management but as it is a franchise you may have to write to their head office maybe not as a complaint but more as a feedback.

I would not order after the this kind of spat on the phone. You never know what they put in your flame burger..

Learn your lesson and let your husband order from now on. Maybe the guy answering the phone there is gay.
