Buying a Used Car

Hi,

Just looking for a little advice on buying a used car privately in qatar!

I was looking to buy a car for cash from a private seller and just wondered if its difficult to re-regester the car in my name?

Also i wondered how to prove the seller is indeed the owner and has the right to sell, and if they do and it turns out that finance is still owed on the vehicle would i be resposible for the payements as the new owner?!

Don't worry nobody can sell a car under finance without the bank or the finance company knowing it.

Changing the car ownership to your name is pretty easy. To make sure that the car you want to buy is the sellers car, look at the car registration certificate, it will state the name and if the car is still on the bank loan.
