Where can I buy an Xbox 360 Slim AC Adapter (Power Brick)?
Hello, the other day I wasn't paying attention & I accidentally plugged my Xbox 360 (the newest version) into the wrong side of the transformer... & the "power brick" blew up. I've gone to TCC, Virgin, & another store that I forgot the name of in Landmark, and they all said they don't sell them. TCC did sell the ORIGINAL Xbox 360 ac adapter, but I recently bought the NEW Xbox 360 so it has a different AC port. So PLEASE help me out if you know where to get one or would be willing to sell one. If you don't know what I'm talking about it looks like this: http://bit.ly/9Gc58W Thanks!
Recently did exactly the same thing as noted on this post... I went to the Technical Care Center in Hyatt plaza (mentioned by txfugi above), and they had power supplies for both the older style power brick, and also the newer "slim" style, which is what I wanted. They didn't have any official Microsoft ones, but their third-party one seems to be fine. One advantage to these over the original Microsoft power supplies is that they're 110-240 V, so we won't need a transformer in any country.
Well after the repair the ac adapter still didn't work, so I called 1-800-4MY-XBOX and told them my serial number and they are sending me a new one for FREE!!! Because, of course, it is still under warranty, and it will be for another 9 months. I'm guessing because yours is the new version you could do the same thing. Just don't tell them you blew it up.
I went over to the Hyatt today, the store is called Technical something. They didn't have any accessories for the Slim but the guy behind the counter did say if I brought the blown one in they would try to repair it, if possible. So I am going to go over there tomorrow and see if they can.
Dude, I did the same thing today. I am thinking about going over to the Hyatt Mall next to the Villagio. That is where I saw the first Xbox 360 slim. I doubt they will have accessories for it, however, it's worth a try. Let me know if you have found one yet.
have you been in the malls, as I know they have shops with spars for such consoles or they can guide you
