Hellp Everyone,

I resigned from my previous company and left Qatar on November,25,2008 without cancelling my visa. However, my visa expiration was on March,2009. Then I went to Bahrain and found a job there. Now I found a new job at QIB and they already sent my papers to ministry of labor. I just found about this 2 years ban in this forum :S and am afraid that they will reject my application. I changed my passport when i was in Bahrain and now my new passport has no qatar visa stamped on it, will this help me somehow?
Thanks in advance,

ok it's been almost two weeks since I posted this topic. Do you think it's a good idea to follow up with HR and send them an email? I didn't want to be a stalker that's why I didnt try to contact them again.

kindly advise,

Regards,

If you did not cancel your visa before your departure then your will cancel get cancelled on 9th March 2009 and the ban period will be upto 9th March 2011. I dont think the papers will get approval before that date without the NOC from your previous Sponsor.

Thanks for the quick reply. If I entered the country then I have no problem getting NOC from my previous employer. It's just difficult to get it while am abroad. But am not sure if they will wait till the fingerprinting :(

As per rule, you are most definitely banned at least up to November 25th 2010. But if your sponsor is powerful, you may be able to enter soon.

Change of passport doesn't help as they will know once you go for fingerprinting for processing RP.
