Lung Scar Issue

Hi...i just had my last talk last friday (9/28/10) with my consultant/agency regarding my job offered in qatar.
i was already in the last stage of processing my requirements in the said application (PDOS/POEA Requirements), when they required me to do a Re-Medical at a POEA Accredited Hospital, They said that my first medical this July 10, 2010 was already expired & Qatar do only required 2 mos of medical records to say it is updated. I went there & within the day I already have the result. My scar had appeared on the Xray. My first medical last july hadnt showed any sign of scar, & now that this thing appeared, I really dont know what to do. My scar had already been treated last 2008 as evidenced by my clearance certificate with my pulmonologist. However, as whatmy consultant had explained to me,scars are unacceptable in qatar. I really dont know what to do. I thought that everything were already set because i already have my visa & all other approved requirements set to work in qatar. I even filed my resignation with my previousjob this september. please advice.

did u submit the recent xray result? if not, take another exam as i have a friend with same situation as yours before.. what he did was he took another medical exam with another accredited clinic. the result was clear and he is now successfully enjoying his work here in doha..having a lung scar doesnt mean u have no ryt fulfilling ur dreams...that's why we have treatment & medication which i believed u had completed.. hope this could help

TRY THESE WAIVER LETTER.

BUT WE CANNOT ASSURE 100% THAT THE GOVERNMENT/IMMIGRATION OF QATAR WILL ALLOW THIS LETTER.

IT WOULD BE A BIG CHALLENGE FOR YOU IF YOU WILL INSIST TO COME HERE, YOU HAVE A CHANCE OF 50/50.

Dawlan.. not everybody knows it.. but it is true that it's a long over due scenario.. over and over again... just because of a healed scar...and there is nothing we can do about it... as they very strict on TB cases..

However, you can try the suggestion for a waiver letter.. which I did for a cancer case..

Tropical Area, especially South East Asia... Scars in the lungs are occured during Childhood suffering from Chicken Fox or Measles, when it cured it leaves a Scar.. When you become an Adult, it won't be removed unless you go for a Surgery.

In your case you can still travel to Qatar but you have to get authority from your Doctor that this Scar is not a communicable disease and under medication.

For your Employer, if he realy realy needs you he will give you a letter authority to travel and you have to submit to Qatar Embassy along with the Doctors Cert.

well everybody know that scar is not desease, its a mark left after a wounds in any part of your body, that means is cured and done. scars can only be removed thru laser. Scar is a major isses not only in QATAR but thru out the middle east. I dont know how stupid they are, but we are on the computer age that they should know that SCAR is not communicable desease nor it can be transfered to anybody. This is long overdue issued in mid east, I dont know when this will understand what the word SCAR means. well, now it not dead end for you, the only way you can come here or work here is if the company will issue a letter to the immigration that they are not objecting you to work here then there will be no problem plus a clearance from DOH. goodluck.

Myth about Milk and Xray

drmtv

to tell you the truth, sterilized milk will not help you clear up your lungs even if you took them religiously for a long time. what i would say is clean and healthy living is what counts most. vitamins, if that has been part of your healthy living will play a big part in keeping you healthy but will not clear your lungs either.

My brother has that case also in 2007. His doctor issued a certificate saying he is under medication and can be cured within the duration, usually i think 3-6 months medication. By the time he went here he is still under medication. His x-ray at medical commission is clear but he took another test on the skin, for disease on the lungs. I forgot the name of the test. Another one month to wait for the result.

Thank God, its negative. he is working under Hamad now.. so dont loose faith, just pray.

Still worth the risk, if ever it didnt go as planned, you can always go back to the Phils and start all over again.

Seriously saying.. if they found out that you have scars in your lungs.. automatic reject.... you can google gcc unfit to work list... and since its a communicable disease (I'm not saying that you have Tb or something) automatic your are unfit to work...
