Annual Leave entitlement
I joined my company on 1st Feb 2010 so I have completed 8 months. I have 1 year contract.
I am going on an emergency leave after 8 months and my company is not deducting the leave from my annual 30 days leaves and it is being considered as leave without pay.
I have a question - What if I leave the company before completing my 12 months? Will I get my leaves on pro-rata basis or I wont get any leave en-cashment at the time of leaving?
For eg: Pro Rata basis 25 days salary for 10 months leaving company
Please reply
I want to leave the job before completing 1 year.
Since I have worked for 8 months already should that make me eligible for the leave on pro-rata basis? 2.5 days leaves for each month so 20 leaves for 8 months.
I should get paid for 20 days at the time of final settlement. How does it work in your company?
Sorry, you must complete one year before you are entitled to any leave. You can't "borrow" from future leave.
Hawk10... am i missing something here.. nowhere did he enquire if he will get reimbursed for the ticket.
It depends on your company, but most of the companies have the contract "ON COMPLETION OF ONE YEAR"; if that is the case, you cannot claim the ticket and leave salary. Some companies gives leave salary on prorota basis but you are anyway not entitled for the ticket before the completion of one year.
