Problem with Q-Tel Mosaic Services

Dear All,

I was living in Markhiya at the beginning of this year, I had a mosaic services from Q-tel since Apr'10.

Recently I've shifted to Al Sadd area "behind the Grand Regency", so I went to Q-Tel to transfer the Mosaic enternet service to my new flat.

They told me it is not available in that area and you have to cancel the service, return the devices and pay a penalty of QAR 500 because you didn't complete one year with us under this contract!!

I told them I don't want to cancel it, so it is not my fault it is you who doesn't have the service on that area.

They told me: this is the policy and if you didn't pay you will not be able to leave Qatar until you pay the full charges!

What do you think I should do? any advice please?

Thanks

I was sold Mosiac by a tele-salesman as an add-on to my existing internet package.

I was told that it would cost at QAR 17 extra per month.

The Qtel bill is SO COMPLICATED that I have no idea what it is really costing me.

It worked for one day, and has never worked since. Still trying to report it !

Moral of the story :

Avoid telesales, even from a telecomm company.

Mosaic is a disaster. Avoid it.

Very sorry to hear this, but try doing this:

1. Go to their offices and speak about it to someone senior. There would be atleast someone who will sort out the issue!

2. If you have friends who are interested in this package, may be you can transfer the connection, though am not sure its gonna work.

3. Pay up the charges and never sign up for such services again!
