i would say you calculate how much you will save here...if more than what you save in india then why not...4k looks low but if they give you good training and you have an upgraded cv which u can later use in india then it is worth it.....1k for food...500 for gym...max 500 for transport...still you save 2k which is 24k rupees...if you think it is good for you then accept it...

which IT company have you applied for?

I suggest you to dont go for it. Some companies nowadays think that people are needy and they can get them for lesser salaries. In return you will also create trouble for other employees(your future colleagues) working in that company. It happened to my friend here in Doha, his company hired a guy on half salary as compared to his salary. And later on, they have terminated my friend just because of his salary. His boss said, "we can get 2 guys in this pay"

Weird but true :(

Did you bargain with them?

Dont agree for less than 6K.

the study says

18k up for single

24k up for couple with 1 or two kids

imagine

but in the other hand

there is people who are living with 3k and 4k , i dont know how but they can manage

anyway it depends on your life style as they said previously

Then you should ask at least 20 times of QAR. 4K, whether single or not.

I have good friends earning less than that, and they are doing fine. Only you know if you are worth more. If you are doing nothing at the moment why not come out and give it a try. If you don't like it you can go home again.

It depends how much you are earning now. If you are jobless with no other opportunity, go ahead. It is ok.

If accommodation is taken care of, you can very well survive in that. Food wouldn't cost you more than 1000 a month with decent lifestyle. Same with transport if you are not planning to get a car. No idea about GYM though.

But to say if it is a good salary, depends upon your qualification, experience etc. That is the salary freshers from Asian subcontinent usually get here.

You must be kidding . QAR 7500 minimum salary you must ask incase you wish to live a decent life here , although single . QAR 4000 would be enough if you were in FY 2004 .

Yeah you will be able to "survive", if that is what you're asking... dunno if you will enjoy the liberty of spending impetuously though :-(
