Which is a good lens for canon?
I already have a good general lens (18-200mm) for my canon SLR. Now i'm looking for a good portrait lens. Short-listed to 2 lens:
1) Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM
2) Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM
For the 1st one, I am really interested in it as its a really fast lens, and can get away with pictures in low light.
The 2nd one I am interested in also, as it has macro, with 1:1 magnification, and will be able to do both macro and portrait. It is slightly more expensive than 1st one, which is not a big issue, but the main thing is that its a bit slower than the 1st.
I can only buy one, and I want a good lens that will last, which one should I get, help !
1st one better,Today i brought that in lulu its cheaper than salam.good luck
Ok, but how good do you guys think that the 2nd one will be for portrait, especially if one wants to do flash-less photography. My inclination to the 1st one was due to the fact that it can perform well in low light also. For the macro one, dunno how much i'll be using it for macro. So what you guys are saying is that better to trade a slower speed lens to have macro capability?
Anyone else have an opinion?
