Where do you draw the line ?
Or rather , the Creepy Line..
I don't know whether you guys picked up on this, but recently Eric Schmidt, Google’s CEO, said that his company’s policy was “to get right up to the creepy line and not cross it”.
What is even more worrying is that last week, Google admitted that it had been collecting emails, passwords and web addresses from wireless networks across Britain.
The data was collected by Google’s Street View cars, which traverse streets across the globe taking photographs that Google uses in its mapping services.
Are you not worried about privacy or such data being taken without your consent ? In my opinion, you should be....
It is an invasion of privacy but the sad thing with internet is, nothing is private anymore..
Now a days everyone post their details on net with photos.. so what sort of privacy are we talking here.. by going through is fb or twitter account, u can pretty much profile a person
they are just becoming an arm of the American security agencies. You may call it conspiracy theory but have you ever heard CIA or FBI making any noise about the same?
its not really that we are cool with it all, more like helpless.. do we have an option? As of now it pays to be very cautious when putting fourth any personal info up there and being as tech savvy as possible is a bonus!
I agree mate - if this was suggested 15 years ago there would have been international outcry! Like you said we just accept nowadays
you want to live the modern times, live what's with it! It's not right, so live right so you don't hide anything!
The sad thing is that we are becoming aceepting of such actions and do not think it inappropriate. :O(
invasion of privacy!
they may have been doing it for a long time and we never knew when they started. Saying it WRONG will not change anything. That's the danger of modern technology! You stop one, another crops up!
Don't you feel that it is wrong - Even if they kep the data for a month ?
This is being done without your knowledge or consent..
they are not looking at gmail accounts!
I mean it...I really wonder if these guys are trustworthy enough...
passwords? how come?
he did mention that they have the capabilities BUT will not cross it! And they kept the data for a month and lose it after that!
