Is it a legal requirement to have a Hamad Medical Card evn if you have Health Insurance ?

This is not a legal requirement if yo have the medical insurance and you can avail treatment in some private clinic.But if you want to avail treatment from Hamad Hospital then its better to have it because it may save you a lot of money otherwise you may have to pay some extra money for your medicines.Its cost is only 100 QR.Just go to one of the nearest government hospital/clinic with your Qatari ID,your passport & Visa copy and 02 fotos,get your file opened and then they will guide you to some Hamad hospital for the Card.Its simple and cheap so better to get it so that in case of emergency or problems or some times your private clinic also may refer you to one of the consultants in Hamad Hospital.
