Look at it this way:

You ordered something...you paid in advance...it has warranty...within the warranty period, it didn't give the service you paid for.

So, what will you do...you will claim for your money back. You did effort in ordering, doing the correct procedure/protocol. YOu did all these things but you didn't get what you wanted/needed. You demand for your money back, right?

Same with companies...same principle applies.

even with the air tickets to india max say 3k and then for the visa process another max 1k .... 10 k for what...? if its for the salary that they have paid in that case he has worked for it.. accomadation they have to provide if its mentioned in the contract if not its the individual who is paying for it... but 10k ithink its not fair...

if the said company included the salary (and others) they paid him for the 2 months he's with the company.

Sharma Ji don't think of such stupid ideas like suicide and all.. Some companies have the clause that you have to return the ticket fare and the visa processing fee if you resign during the probation period, I had it in my first job in Gulf but even that shouldn't be 10,000.. Not even close to it..

for the expenses they incurred for hiring and deploying you here in Qatar from your country.

The company spent QAR10,000 for the following:

-plane fare

-processing fee of your visa

-the visa cost

-service charges they incurred in getting YOU and the visa

- other expenses (accommodation, salary, allowances, etc).

And you come to Qatarliving.com asking for advise when it was you who SHORTCHANGED your company. And you should pay them back

Whatever deal or transactions you made with your agent back home, the company is not involved in it. But

They invested time, money and effort on you...and THEY MADE A BAD INVESTMENT. You should not have accepted their job offer in the first place.

Thanks for the prompt reply. In my contract there is mentioned that any party can discontinue the contract in terms of giving one month prior notice. But my problem is as big so that I can't stay here for so long. But in case of |resignation they are also asking from me to pay the amount of QR 10000. As this company is having a good sponsor who is working on a very senior position in Labor Department. So is it suggestible by you to go further for filing a case. As they are very strong and having a good empression in Labor Department because of the sponsor.

the visa charge is only 300 Qr , and if its the same company visa , then only 300 , but if bought your visa from someone else , then may be . but even its not legal here to sale the visa ,

you have option to go to HR or Labor department if you not yet sign the contract latter ,

thanks .

I believe you don't have 2 pay any charges or fees.

As you r on probation period; you have the right to resign. Check your contract copy or offer; if nothing mentioned in this regard means you have to pay nothing.

If they reject to release you back to India; I strongly advise you to file a case "complain" against them at Labor Department immediately.

Don't fed up and 4get this crazy idea of suicide, you are in Qatar not India; means you'll be released for sure.

Good luck

First of all if you had intentions of leaving for good, you should have just applied for urgent leave giving some excuse and just left the country. Now you are going to be at their mercy as they know you need to leave. I dont think you need to pay anything for "visa charges" does it mention anything of the sort in your contract then you can go to the labour department and do a case against them. Just threaten to do so first and see.

Suicide is not the answer to life's problems, thats the cowards way out.
