Another MegaMall is coming to Doha!
The first phase of the Doha mall, which is expected to cover 2.5m sq m of retail space, is scheduled for completion at the end of 2012.
“We believe there is a gap in the Doha market at the moment for a proper, super-regional, retail and entertainment destination, and we are hoping to fill that gap through our project,” said Shedadeh.
“Doha is today probably the richest city in the world and yet it doesn’t have a world class shopping destination. It will be the largest mall in Doha – by a long shot,” he said.

i agree speed. hopefully they create something "friendly" for all people, family or bachelors.

Qatar still needs to do lot of homework just to attract tourist... relax family/ relative visas etc..
without tourism all these malls will be empty.
A new big-box store but not much to choose from. Check the shops in Saudi Arabia. Compact but you can find what you need and want.
I am really looking forward to check this mall by 2012..Got bored with CITY CENTRE and other malls that exist in doha now..
even with all these malls and hypermarkets around why is it difficult to get a parking?
SNM, if they allot one of the existing mall for bachelors, still there are enough options left....malls are in every corner.

Who needs another mall here?
Its better we came to know two years in advance, getting enough time to arrange our family here or atleast a GF to enter there. As we cannot go to any visitor spot if we dont have any girl with us
I guess they haven't looked into the big R as in Revenue, for such a small population its not a smart move, nice BIG EMPTY MALLS LIKE DUBAI! YAHOOOOOOO Unless it means we actually get stores we can use with decent quality furniture, etc. etc.
i wish they would have a mall as nice as in dubai like the big aquarium(dubai mall), ski dubai(emirates mall),
i-fly in mirdiff etc...
nothing better than the good old grocers shop
one day whole world will be converted to mall. this type of business is growing like plants.
