A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said:
'Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 year old and I'm pregnant again.I don't want kids so close together.

So the doctor said: 'Ok and what do you want me to do?'
She said: 'I want you to end my pregnancy, and I'm counting on your help with this.'

The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: 'I think I have a better solution for your problem. It's less dangerous for you too.'

She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request.

Then he continued: 'You see, in order for you not to have to take care 2 babies at the same time,
let's kill the one in your arms.

This way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we're going to kill one of them, it doesn't matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.

The lady was horrified and said: 'No doctor! How terrible! It's a crime to kill a child!
'I agree', the doctor replied. 'But you seemed to be OK with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.

The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point.
He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child that's already been born and one that's still in the womb.

The SIN is the same!

honda, the point here is not aborting the result of a rape or a deformed fetus. The point is that abortion no matter how simplified or glorified it may be these days is murder nevertheless. Cold blooded murder of a human.

Honda, I wonder if you would stand by your statement if it was your wife that was raped.

By snessy• 13 Nov 2010 17:49

honda86: It's easier said than done, to kill a rapist rather than the baby. You have to find the rapist first! How can a woman look at her baby which was produced from a violent rape attack and love the baby as if they were born from love? Everytime she looks at the albeit innocent face of the baby, she will remember the pain she had endured (not just physical but mainly emotional). When the baby grows up, how do you have "that" conversation?...I have no idea who your father is and the only reason you're here is because he raped me...

Adey: fabulous video, if only some of the blinkered people here would understand what is being said!

Qhris, You probably are not aware of the realities in this world. For example if you go to Mumbai(India) and travel in a local train you can see lot of advertisements stating "No pain , no delay", Go home within one hour", "Abort it and live happily". Are these cases for rape only????

It was our Late Prime minister Indira Gandhi who legalised abortion in India. What happened to her? The sikh terrorists fired at her womb. both her sons bodies were shattered like when a baby is killed inside the mothers womb.

As someone stated inthe forum in case of rape kill the rapist instead of the innocent child.

I just wanted to say these things only.

You are right, anyone is capable of anything.

I would still say that this example is in the less than 1% of women 'choosing' abortion, and the OP's point (as he stated above), was for this thread to;

"Regarding my post It was about abortion and how silly people take it nowadays"

Okay....so he is portraying a minority attitude of 0.01%, to hate about the GENERAL 99% of other women having an abortion.

It is demonising a woman to sensationalise the 'sin'.

I haven't heard it reported that 'proximity' abortions are on the rise, or that women want their babies births spaced apart.

For that reason, using this example as a flag of womens abortion mentality is, frankly, an insult.

BUT

If the OP had put

"A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said:

'Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 year old and I'm pregnant again, but this child is the subject of a horrendous and violent rape assault, that devestated me...."

THEN this thread would have been TOTALLY different.

Why would anyone judge them anyway? Only the person themselves actually ARE in that situation, only they know how they feel and why they maybe doing what they are doing. And I think others should respect that. All an outsider can give is support, either way. And if they don't want to give support, they should stay out of it.IMHO

And looking at abortion as a sin is only applicable for those who believe and practice. It is not applicable for those who are not devout.IMHO.

but it is NOT IMPOSSIBLE to happen, So Qhris, think again, if you find the story absurd, then read the newspapers and read those absurd stories of people doing the craziest thing you could imagined! So don't say that this is pure fictional, it could happen or maybe happening already in some parts of the world!

The point of the story is the way the Doctor convinced the woman that it's wrong to even think about what she'd thinking at that time! And that's the message of the story, NOT the part of having close-period pregnancy.

By adey• 13 Nov 2010 12:23

According to your last post then, describing abortion as a sin is not logically consistent.

You are displaying a high level of cognitive dissonance here; either all abortions are sinful or not all abortions are sinful.

It's not about judging others, rather, it's about being truthful to yourself.

I'm not throwing stones to women doing this,i just want to say that abortion is a sin. No one would want to do this without a very valuable reason,so if they decided to abort the child then they must be in a very bad situation which i would understand,.I'm not judging any woman caught in this scenario where they don't have the choice, just as i want people not to judge me if i'm one of them..:(

I am really shocked at the tenacity of statements here.

All i can do is cross my fingers that none of your Mothers, Sisters, Daughters or women in your life have to faced with a situation where they need your emotional support, because you would choose to hate your own blood for a desicion they choose to make.

Wow.

Poor women in all of your lives, having no freedom of thought, without your support :-(

So in light of the case that I mentioned - the one you admitted you were not against - would you modify your statement below?

"IMO, abortion is a sin whatever the reason behind it. There are no gray areas"

:)

Enlightenment away from religious dogma is a wonderful thing; just think of all the other things one takes as the 'truth' from scripture but one finds on closer examination to be false.

You are a moral person, you don't need religious dogma to tell you right from wrong.

in the video:

Four months into her pregnancy the doctors tell her her child has 'mermaid' syndrome (this is where both legs are fused together) and the child has no liver or bladder. They tell her that her baby will die and recommend that she has an abortion.

Reluctantly they agree with the doctors recommendation. When they go to the abortion clinic they are abused by two women protesters outside the clinic. Later the father confronts the protesters, video camera in hand, to give them a piece of his mind.

kill than man who raped -- why u will kill child who dont do any mistake ------???

Or Apply this rule

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verse 32:

Do not even go near ‘zina’ (fornication or adultery) for it is a very indecent thing and a very evil way!

A man from the tribe of Aslam came to the Prophet (saws) and confessed that he had committed ‘zina’ (adultery). The Prophet (saws) turned his face away from him till the man bore witness against himself four times. The Prophet (saws) said to him, "Are you mad?" He said "No." The Prophet (saws) asked, "Are you married?" He said, "Yes." Then the Prophet (saws) ordered that he be stoned to death, and he was stoned to death at the Musalla (public gathering place).

APPLY IS RULE NO MALE WILL TRY TO RAPE FEMALE

ordered that he be stoned to death, and he was stoned to death at the Musalla (public gathering place).

WHY ALWAYS WANT TO KILL WHO DONT DO ANY MISTAKE

....that video was really good, and raises a point that the OP got me incensed about.

Even if you think it is a sin, I dislike how this thread started with a woman;

"She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request".

If anyone thinks that a woman decides this lightly, they are insane.

As the video contains; no woman has an abortion because she gets a thrill out of it.

So if a woman is raped, impregnanted against her will, it is a sin to abort a baby she didn't even want?

She didn't even have consent to having sex.

She HAS to have a baby that will probably remind her of the worst thing in her life, a violation of her rights and her body?

That is a sin, and you would all (who said it is a sin) hate a woman for that?

The issue of Abortion is not so simple and it is wrong to judge a women for abortion. Abortion is not to be taken as an alternative for contraception but it is no more a sin than giving birth to the unwanted baby and neglecting him thereafter. Also, in cases of pregnancy due to rape or mentally challenged mother or genetically challenged/deformed baby, abortion is the only option. Hence the issue is not so black or white.

Voluntary Fasting during these days is also more beloved than any other days. These ten days include Yawm ‘Arafaah (the Day of ‘Arafaah), on which Allaah perfected His Religion. Fasting on this day will expiate for the sins of two years -- keeping in mind that for major sins, Tauba is a necessary prerequisite.

People focused on the wrong part of my post.

It wasn't about beliving in god.

It was asking Honda when, in his experience, a woman has sought an abortion 'because she doesn't want her kids born so close together'.

This is making a mockery of the women who, raped, or whatever circumstance, make the difficult descision to have an abortion.

It is a pretty wrapped story with no substance; no rational woman would give up a child for abortion because 'the children are born to close together'.

I was asking Honda where, exactly, this scenario has occurred in his lifetime?
