Have you seen this old toyota in Doha? AE86?
hey guys
I know most of you don't know this car, but I used to have the same car few months ago until it was sold recently :( wish I did not sell it
anyway, its old toyota and its very rare (about 7 cars left in Doha) and I'm looking for one that I can buy and enjoy driving it.
I'll attach some pictures so you know what is the shape of the car I'm looking for.
well the ones attached are very clean examples, so you should keep an eye for a rusty one in Doha as now one care about old car here :P
the car I'm looking for came in two different front end (the rest body is same for both) One was with regullare lights and the other model was with flip up lights
So guys if you see one, please please send me a message or an email :)
thanks

Only hatchback made it here in the gulf states. As far as I know around 1,200 AE86's were sold here in the gulf countries. So lets say 200 left now!
If you find 2 for sale, let me know....oh and I'll take the hatchback.
try from KSA, my fren bought it for SR6k only
The ones sold here in Qatar were haveing the same JDM engine (1.6 DOHC 4AGE). I went to toyota delaer and they told me that around 40 examples were sold in Qatar back in the 80s, so I'm sure very few left in Qatar! I got also a friend who works for toyota dealer in KSA and he told me around 1200 exmaples of the AE86 were sold also!I'm sure will see one someday but I guess I have to keep my eyes open! I used to have one but sold it as I got very good offer!
some one SHOOT Keidoupe....please....
I'd give an arm and a leg for an AE86. They were, and still are, instant classics. jspec, if you find one, you need to find and install the jdm engine (1.6 DOHC 4AGE).
It's a 16 valve, twin cam engine producing 140-150hp. If you're going to drift it, keep it revving high to produce power (in other words: put your foot down). It's easy to drift, it only weighs 960kg.
jspec, I sell my EK 99 model.. In case you want to buy just click below link

just feeling that I need to bump this thread
I'm still looking for an AE86, if I did not find one, then I guess I'm going with an EG
Yup, the blue one is in the same company with me.. He's in Doha Office and I'm in Ras Laffan. The gold one is manual, I won't buy an automatic sportcar..
The black RSX pawned?? That's too bad..
@seto, yep mostly JDM cars here are from US but still if you are lucky enough you can get a real JDMs...
@jspec, thanks for the compliment! luv it so much. not the original owner though.. once i heard it was on sale... i grab the opportunity even though i dont have enough money to buy it! lol
@seto, i heard that black rsx is pawned already and the gold one is automatic.
the earlier owner of the blue DC5 is working with the same company where you working i guess...
I saw a black RSX roaming Gharafa area..
I saw a blue Integra DC5 in my head office basement in al sadd..
I saw a gold Integra DC5 in my house 2 years ago before I sell it again :)
Well, Yes its hell for JDM fans, but I still have access to JDM parts. Shipping is pain in the () thu, but gotta love Japan :D
I've seen 2 toyota levins here in Doha, and both were owned by Filipinos. I really wish if I had there phone numbers
Alex, your RSX (DC5) is awesome man :) I guess its the only one in Qatar, right?
Middle East is a hell for JDM lover.. Here I won't try to play that way coz it drives me crazy to get the parts of real JDM car as most of the cars (even though it's a japanese brand) is USDM.. I play JDM in my country as most of the cars there is really coming from Japan. I have a Mitsubishi Airtrek Turbo 4x4, here we call it Outlander but with an Evolution VIII engine. a Honda Jazz GE8 Turbo full with J's Racing accessories and a N/A tuned Toyota Levin with 4AGE Silvertop..
@jspec, love your photos!
^ i feel you jspec! JDM ftw!
He is the Gene Hunt of the Arab world.
Well, I had mine for over 4 years and the last 2 years it was heavy modified (It was makeing around 220hp without turbo) and If you ask me why I want this old car, well because nothing now so close to the driving experiance of this old car. Its very light weight, good handling, and most important FUN TO DRIVE. It's not like your tepical carefour shoping car.
seto, I have a jdm fever, not initial d. Sure it was a great anime, but its all fiction stuff :P
I had may cars before (280ZX, R31 Skyline, MK3 Supra, and now I have a 93 MX5 and 03 Impreza) I love driving jdm sports cars since I got my driving permit in 1999 speically those made in the 80's and 90's
^ surely you dont know anything about this car...
comon man ! who wanna spend his time looking for this old crappy car ?
comon man ! who wanna spend his time looking for this old crappy car ?
i am not sure, i took a photo only last week that i am thinking if it is AE...
I think it's a AE coupe or something...
You are getting a hachi roku fever, maybe too much watching Initial D hahaha..
You used to have one then you sell it and now again you're searching for the same.. Then why you sell your previous hachi roku if you know it would be difficult to find it again? I have an RX8 and it's still in a very good condition and low mileage. I know it's difficult to find an RX8 in Doha especially in good condition so I never sell it even though some people stop me in the road and ask me to sell the car to him or leave a business card on my windshield..
You stalk cars?
Inital D fan? love the anime series :)
Goodluck to your hunting! its a classic car.
Ahh yes it was a Delorean.. it seem same like this one..but much older
Vrooom....
no, the car used in Back to the Future was a Delorean.
I think this car is use for the Back to the Future movies... = )
And haven't see one in here...
Good Morning!
Will you buy it for QR 20,000?
Then we will all try to keep an eye out!!!
Go to any Asian country, you can easily find even older model than this running on the roads in perfect condition.
wow, i had this car about 7 years ago. its called Toyota Trueno. rear wheel driven, and very good for drifting. hope you find it.. cheers
why are you looking for this car anyway?
