Raheemullah...sad to hear. Death truly is unpredictable.. and the news of another's unexpected death is always a reminder of this stark truth. =(

A friend of mine died in a similar accident in Saudi. He was in a hunting vehicle (modified Range Rover) chasing rabbit with a Saluki, when his tyre punctured. He rolled the car and got killed..

When it's written ...............

I simply said it was the first time I heard of this and was surprised. I was not at all suggesting he was an insurgent. I happened to be with some of his relatives last night when they got the news and expressed my surprise in the same terms to them. No one accused me of suggesting he was an insurgent, and understood what I was saying, but explained to me that there are still a lot of qataris who go to Iraq for hunting.

Chill, mate. And try not to let my view of Rashid's nonsense color the way you read my posts ;)

@expat

if it was the first time you hear about something, doesn't mean it didn't exist before, unless you think yourself omniscient. if a tree falls in the forest and you're not there to hear it, it still make a sound.

Iraq is a big game destination ever since I could remember. before, during, and after saddam hussein. A cousin of mine drove over a landmine while he was chasing game in iraq, luckily it was a personnel and not a vehicle mine.

You're insinuating that someone I personally know, who just passed away is an insurgent. Shame on you, your ignorance and apathy are so clear. saying rest in peace after your insinuations count for nothing

Yes, hislam. Many of my Qatari friends used to go hunting in Iraq in the "cold" winter months.

Hard to imagine hunting for anything in Iraq right now unless you are in the military or an insurgent. This was the first I heard of people going in and out of there for recreational purposes.

Rest in peace.
