BRISBANE: The Australian government on Wednesday blamed the United States, not WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, for the unauthorised release of about 250,000 secret US diplomatic cables and said those who originally leaked the documents were legally liable.

Every government does the same, not only the US. It's called "politics." Now we understand that they are all liars and criminals. However, I suspected this since democracy was created around 300 BC in Greece. And they KNEW it, too.

I think this has exposed some of the lies that we hear, such as the killing of the Rueters camera crew. the video on wikileaks clearly shows that no one was armed and yet the forces opened fire......total contradiction to the US statement.....

i hope wikileaks carries on

this way of exposing the US govt has jeopardized the lives of many people who are rightfully serving their country.

I think there should be a better way to bring US to justice.

Yes it is also the responsibility of US govt to make sure the security of confidential data, whatever it may be, is TOP class.

If my memory serves me right, there was a similar incident that happened in the past with a Philippino student hacking secure servers in the pentagon or something like that.

They need put strong security measures on their confidential data, especially after what has happened to them in the past.
