Today I went to check a used car from one man as per his add in QL. As soon as we reached to him discussed about the car and I asked him about the alloy wheel and he didnt answer. I asked him for a test drive. Then he replied that dont drive the car , my car is perfect no need to drive, you pay the money and then drive. And then he talked much more in this way. I got wondered why this man is like this. He looks like a gentleman and is old around 60s.Its the third experience from this type of people, who came from a middle eastern country. The add was for Altima car 2006 model,65k todays add.
If anybody is going to check this car please take care.

as simple as that. Even new cars are promoted by a test drive. With that kind of seller it's highly suspicious that he's selling a lemon. :)

Maybe - or is just a cultural difference of how to buy/sell something and thus one party gets offended?

or is it just rudeness???

The politest people that came round were French and Nepali

Now we are here from cars to people. Anyway, the general rule should be to listen to and respect the others. Here, some ethnicities disrespect and discriminate other ethnicities.

German Specialist are very rude. They don't show physically what is wrong with the car. They just make it in the report and they drive the car very ruthlessly. A two or three checks at German Specialist will ruin the car for sure. There is no German Specialist employed in their shop.

I bought a car tested by them after some days I took it to the company for full service and there were much more. Better rely on company history.

You're not understanding the point that Indians are not much liked in this country... so you should get used to such behavior towards your nationality (sorry about that, but this is a fact about this country)

many people share the same attitude...it annoys me that they don't even have common sense..:( sorry to some people here, but i think they view buying a car without testing as how they view marrying someone they don't really know..^_^

yep, we better be careful from these crooks....why can't we try before buying? it should be our right to try anything before giving away our money.

Not to go off topic but this infuriates me about phone shops here too.

I went into to a shop, can I see how this phone works charged? No sorry, have to purchase.

Okay, so there is a trial period when I can return it?

No, sorry, cannot bring back unless broken.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR....

Dont make test drive by yourself..always take the car to computer inspection (salwa road)..there they will give you the complete info & history of the car..where you spend 65k must spend 150 riyal for computer inspection..but always check the chasis first if the chasis are damaged means the car is accident & by this you will save your 100 riyals..

why he is afraid to drive test the car? as a buyer, you must check the car condition first.
