AVAILING OF PERSONAL LOANS IN QATAR
I just would like to express my frustrations in availing a personal loans here in Qatar. I have been here a couple of years and since then I have not avail of any bank loan, however, when I had a medical emergency back home, I tried to avail of a loan. I believed i have called most of the banks here in Qatar & not one would even accommodate my request for a 5t riyals loan (which i intend to settle in 3 months) because my salary is below the 10T riyals requirement. I really hope that the bank would be more considerate & flexible enough on a case to case basis under the following circumstances: Nature of the loan, terms of payment, amount of the loan.
would you believe, even my payroll bank wud not accommodate for the same reason of not having 10t minimum... *super sigh*
really?... I know mashreqbank requires only 7k for private companies, but should be in their list. While 5k for government employees...
BTW, apply on where your salary is being transferred...I'm sure they will give you credit card at least.

i beleive things might changed now .. and banks are not strict as the last 2 years .

if he has a pending case with the bank (say, not paying his dues), which eventually compelled the bank to issue a notice to the immigration not allowing him to leave the country unless he settles it first... I know my obligations when I have it but Thanks for the advice tho.
Mashreq bank requires 8t minimum salary requirement likewise their credit cards...why like this :)
recently one of my loaned colligue caught in airport wile leave for vacation.the loan fined doubled of his actual due.y should face like this problem.

most of the banks have the lists of their approved companies, check if your company is listed.
Besides 5k is not huge...why don't you apply for credit card instead? it'll take less than a month.
