I was wondering if someone can please help me, i was working for a big company in doha for the last 18 months, in Sept i resigned, they said they would give me an NOC, now that i have managed to get a job, they are saying that i cant go to that company because it is a competing company, they will give me an noc to anywhere else, but not there,
So the way that i see it is i need to transfer my sponsorship to someone else short term, and the i can move to the new company, The old company now also want to cancel my sponsorship
Maybe if i go to Bahrain, i can enter qatar on a business visa ?

Do you have any ideas ?

your help is much appreciated

Thanks
john

Sami_26 said Even if you went to Bahrain ...

Even if you went to Bahrain or out of Doha, you still need an NOC from your employer unless you came back to Doha after 2 years (i'm not sure if its 6 months already) but try to discuss your case with the MOL (ministry of labor) Indeed they will help you.

Good Luck :)

Better you try with some other company, as this is the rule of most of the companies here that they will not give NOC to the competitor.

Still you are lucky they agree to give you NOC, otherwise you cannot force them.

That is the price you have to pay for receiving huge salary & benefits. How many years you are not allowed work to the competitors as written on the employment contract you signed?

Getting the NOC is the easier part, invalidating your employment contract is the hardest part.

If you have signed such contract, I advise you not to take any risk. The legal arms of local group of companies & international companies can reach you if they want to.
