Mobile Phone Dilemma

Hi everyone,

I desperately need a new phone, and I'm looking to buy an Iphone 4.

I'm currently living in Australia looking to move to Qatar in about March next year.

However I don't know if I should buy an Iphone here with no contract, or buy one with a contract in Qatar. Or maybe buy one in Qatar not locked and pre-pay?

It costs about 900 Australian Dollars to buy an Iphone here in Sydney with no contract, or I can buy one on a plan for about 50 dollars a month, but this would mean I am on roaming plan when I move to Qatar. Keep in mind I want to use the apps and facetime if possible.

Should I just wait and buy the phone in Qatar? Or just buy one here outright and take it with me to Qatar? What would be cheaper and better?

Thanks.

900 AUD = 3,292.83 QAR.

An unlocked iPhone 4 16GB here costs 3000-3500 QAR. Cheaper if you buy it on a plan of course. You decide. :)

better you buy it here if you are going to be working here for long as you'll also get local warranty.

if you gonna stay here for longer then for sure you should buy it here in Qatar or if you think its cheaper there then buy it without plan.
