What's the most irritating word in English?
By t_coffee_or_me •
Whatever you think about using grating words, at the end of the day it's actually better not to say whatever, if you know what I mean.
For the second consecutive year "whatever' topped a Marist poll as the most annoying word or phrase in the English language.

i hate the word "promise" or "i promise"
it is better not to say anything
your english seems irrita...tinG!!!
Sucks!
Sorry...
Well,....whatever.
Oh, I know one " don't generalize"...more a term, but I can't stand it.
You know
Yes Sir! or Yes Madam
no...yah...
Actually, 'Actually' can well replace 'Basically' :D
I basically find people using the word 'Basically' in basically every sentence at least once if not more. Basically, I think 'Basically' just fits into basically every sentence for the want of another suitable word.
The most irritating word is "headache" :O(
I thought it was "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" .. oh well, whatever... :P
the word "WHAT". Proper word would be pardon, or excuse me....
'damn'
basically damn means like to condemn a person and who are we to do that
but now its like the 'in' word..and without thinking ppl use it.
a bit serious i guess...carried away!!!ma foi
Irritating.... lol
