pakistani embassy in qatar

If you are a pakistani and you want to renew your passport, it may take you 5 years in qatar because the fuc*ers at the pakistani embassy in doha are accepting only 85 applications per day.
considering the embassy 'personnel' dont work approx 130 days a year and about 100000+ pakistanis in qatar it is gonna take 5 years to renew your passport.

the pakistani embassy officials here and all over the world are the outcome of the corrupt zardari establishment.

there is no check on them and there is no feedback.

poor paksitani citizens are left to suffer at their hands.
anyone can go and see dozens of people standing 'outside' the embassy. even the embassy cannot arrange a place for them to sit inside the embassy premises in shade.

first of al the embassy in qatar was one of the last ones to start issuing machine readable passports because of their laziness and unwillingness to work.

and when they start recently issuing MRPs, it was expected that a huge number of people will get their passports renewed considering the pakistani population in qatar, even then they have limited the applications to 85 per day.

After long pain i managed to apply pasport but now more than 2 months not recieved.if u discuss with staff members all of them give u different answers, actually they dont know and are just cheating people.

Initially they were posting lists outside notice boards and web about recieved passports, but now they are not doing.so now u find many people inside embassy they are searching some one to be asked about their passports, and they are told to stay in line which will open 1pm.they stay in line fnally after lot of struggle they are told consignment not recieved.

i told nadra staff to update lists outside and on web as it will reduce rush in emabbsy but no use.

also now to get appointment u have to take appointmnet

overall the situation is the worst.

keep suffering.

From ur post, I understand that embassy has now started giving out tokens from 0530 in the morning. Is this correct. Can I now go to embassy at 0530 am, collect my token, come back home and then return to embassy at 0800 hrs to get the work done. If this is the case then this is big improvement from last monday (Jan 03) when I had to stand in line from 0600 hrs to 0800 hrs just for getting token. Pls confirm for benefit of all.

It good it was written here and not in the Pakistan Group forum....

I got to read this very interesting info, and now I can make up my mind whether or not I would want to go and stand in queues for a visa to Pakistan or not. If I hadn't seen this, I would have arrived at the embassy and I wouldn't have understood a thing.

The sad part of our Society is We don't have patience at all, We want everything done in a giffy, which can't be possible at all...

Why not wait for sometime, and i am sure embassy staff would make this process more convenient.....

we are the one who select this type of people by cheating again and again .we voter must wake up and think how we can change the country.those ruling now or before they are the same why because son take the seat of father and in this way it is continue .they dony know the coomon man problem because they are not common man .

what i think that instead of writting like this we pakistani living in doha must call the community living in doha at aplateform and also call the embassy staff and ask them how they can solve this problem .that is not a big deal we have talent but the problem is that no one want to utilize this talent.

khanan the point comes in when they have issued notice that thursday is a family day, still i have seen bachelors along with their friends looking for passport today morning itself,, and they were fighting with staff that i didn't knew it, so you have to let me in,,,, if u didn't knew, now u know it, so go back and come later,,,

By illuxnz11• 6 Jan 2011 12:43

i have been there today morning and i would not blame the embassy ppl for the mess over there,

first of all mr. salrza, if you are so eager to get the passport, wake up at fajir prayer and after that go to embassy, coz they issue the token immidiatly after morning prayer, first come first serve basis and limit is 85 per day, it is because they have only one machine to input data right now, it will improve in future,

second thing what i saw there was the typical habbit of our ppl to argue on irrelevant issues, there is clearly mentioned that only 85 tokens will be issued daily, but we have to stand there for hours and argue with the staff.... so from whom the mistake is made? embassy ppl or us?? about seating, they have arranged some place, and i think it can accomodate nearly 50-60 ppl, but we have to take our fathers, brothers, friends, and all ppl we know along with us for the CEREMONY, so how wiil there not be a mess??? 85 will become 285....

plzz correct ur info and correct urselves b4 blamming someone,, there are some weakneses in them also but they can only overcome them if we support them....

thanks,

very well said..

and very valid points...

though Point # 1 will result in gate crashes...and will increase the chances of stempede.

I am hoping that they devise something helpful to the public and hope the publice to be supportive.

A scuffle broke out between a person waiting in que and an embassy staff. Police had to be called in and the person was taken into the custody.

Thursdays had been now allocated as family days now. Lets pray and hope it gets better.

PS: The topic should have been posted in Pakistan Group.

I have been through the procedure and suffered fro whole day. Following are the problems:

1. I do not understand why people have to make payment in the bank inside embassy. This only inceases duration of the procedure. Why cant people make payment in any bank outside embassy and then bring receipt with them to the embassy.

2. People are standing outside since 0600 hrs in the morning whereas embassy opens at 0800 hrs. This is completely ridiculous. Anybody reaching embassy at 0730 hrs will not be able to get in because he will be too late. Embassy needs to start time based deadline instead of number of people based deadline. e.g. they should announce that all who are inside embassy by 0830 hrs shall be facilitated. This way, everybody will know that he will not be entertained if he arrives after 0830 hrs. Present system is only based on luck unless you can manage to arrive at embassy with family before 0700 hrs.

3. A person who does not need to get a passport (he requires e.g. to get his degree verified) shall be ruined since he will have to stand in bank line of people applying for passport. People should be allowed to pay in banks oputside embassy.

4. Token system is managed extremely poorly. Once token is given, there is no control over who goes for bank payment first. This delays the procedure even further.

5. Nobody is available from embassy staff to listen to people grieviences. They all get lost as soon as tokens are distributed.

6. Due to high number of applicants, embassy should consider getting evening shift (e.g.from 4pm to 8 pm). This will further reduce the load during morning hours. In addition, providing service on saturday can also be considered.

In short, system needs big time change. It should have been done by now since embassy has been issuing machine readable passport for more than one month and they should have realized shortcomings and thought about measures to reduce problems to Pakistani public in Qatar. Since nothing has been done till now, one can safely predict that nothing will be done and people will keep on suffering.

However, lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for teh best.

i also feel bad abt those people who stand in cold in long rows outside embassy :(

By salrza• 6 Jan 2011 12:01

and as there is a large number of people applying for mrps why the embassy is limiting the time from 8-11:30 and 85 tokens per day.

for sure, working hours and tokens can be increased. just it needs willingness to serve and work!

khanan i dont know..i never visited the embassy in its condition now a days..bt i heard that people are standing in long rows outside embassy which gives bad impression to other people.n all the blame comes to embassy.

i have been living in uk, saudia and here. but i have never ever seen queues ( read as people hanging on to the outside premises grill of the embassy from 8-11:30) outside the embassy to renew their passport!!

By Khanan• 6 Jan 2011 11:50
Khanan

where..outside the embassy or within???

You have to be in que outside the embassy before 8 to get the number...once you get the number, then there is a sitting arrangement available within the embassy.

only 85-100 tokens are issued daily and the rest have to come back again.

I am also for the improvement in the systmen but I am stirtly against those bad mouth on Public Forums.

Police had to be called in when one impatient person attaked and abused embassy staff for a matter which was beyonf the staff's control.

By blue_rose• 6 Jan 2011 11:42

it doesnot matter which embassy is that and how many machines or trained people are working..bt atleast they can arrange some place to sit for the people standing in rows..being human advice

What so ever you are Pakistani or not, you don’t have any rights to abuse PAKISTAN EMBASSY OR PAKISTAN LEADER ON PUBLIC FOROUM., as KHANAN said system will improve. Don't try to use the defects of others to justify yourself as being better than them. Your belongs to same nation change your thinking before pointing others.

According to the calculations 130 days in to 85 equals 11050 passports only. Then it may take 10 plus years to renew all. Waooo what a long term planning....

Proud to be Pakistani

Be early there, if you are in urgent need of the Passport...

I hope the system will improve in near future...as more machines arrive here and more staff is trained.
