Hi! Can anybody with knowledge or experience help me out. Here is my case.
I entered qatar in a single civil status. And now i got married but my maiden surname are not yet changed on official documents here (QID, PP etc) I want to bring my husband here thru Family visit visa. I am female nurse and my salary don't meet the qualification to apply for family visit visa. but if i read it right on an old post in this site, that there is no salary qualification if u apply via visit visa for immediate family and other relatives. unlike the family visit visa for wife and children. I am confused. Are there two types of family Visit visas? if yes, then is it true that for a visit visa for the immediate family and other relatives there is no need to qualify for the monthly salary of at least QAR 7000?

Thank you. Please enlighten me.

I don't think so,authorities are very strict regarding this conversion. While applying for visit visa you have to provide an affidavit for not increasing the stay and not converting the visa.

If the visit visa is of the same company which is sponsoring the work visa then it might be possible.

yes there are two types of visas family and visit visa

family visa may have minimum salary req. but visit visa dont have a strict salary limit later on you cannot sponsor your spouse if he is coming to Qatar on visit visa sent by you.

If you want your husband to live here permanently on your sponsorship you must send him family visa and complete the formlities required.

and visit visa cannot be converted into sponsorship spouse/family member must go back within the period of visit visa.
