Where I can find the best hospital here that have oby-gyne and filipina nurses?..I'm 6months pregnant and I'm giving birth here in Doha Qatar...I'm afraid coz I heard lots of complain in Hammad Hospital..I just want to be safe and my baby...PLEASE help me..Thanks!
I am British and I have had 4 children at Hamad hospital, including 1 C-Section. The care is fine and you should feel right at home as most of the nurses are Phillipino. I wouldnt necessary think that if you pay that the care will be any better, not in Doha at least. They have a huge wealth of experience at Women's Hospital and that is why I chose it. The bedside manner is lacking somewhat but I always found the nurses to be very friendly, if you are friendly with them. There is help and advice about caring for your baby but you must ask. It was not offered to me but I found out later they have people to teach how to bathe the baby etc. Good luck.
JUST TO BE SAFE FOR YOU AND YOUR BABY, ITS BETTER FOR YOU TO GIVE BIRTH IN THE PHILIPPINES UNLIKE IN WOMENS OR ANY OTHER HOSPITALS HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE THE GUTS TO GIVE BIRTH HERE...GOODLUCK
I can't say enough for HMC. Yes, I had heard some horror stories as well, and after a lot of debate, I chose HMC for my delivery last year. I have never regretted the decision. There were some complications during my pregnancy and if it had not been for the excellent care of the HMC doctors and nurses , I wonder what would have happened. Baby and I are doing great now, and I owe it all to the team at HMC who looked after me like family.
My husband was able to stay with me till 11pm. I shared my room and even then I had privacy as our portion will be covered with curtains. almost all facilities are available there at Womens Hospital.
I am South African and I had my baby in Hammad in May 2010. I was impressed with the facilities and the care of the nurses and the doctors. They do however insist on you breast feeding your new baby. You can book a private room at a good rate per night or share a room at minimal cost. My husband and family could visit me as well. Compared to the other goverment hospitals that I have seen, Hamad is world class.
I just had my c section this december 2nd and that tooo in Womens Hospital. I was taken care by the nurses and the doctors more than my mother. Although this was my 1st never had any fear. "Womens Hospital Is The Best"
