What can we do if we are issued fake airfare tickets?
We bought airfare tickets from a legit travel agency but then found out later on that the travel agent issued us fake tickets and took the money. The problem was we were not given official receipts by the agent, she told us to come back the next day, then the next day and so on. Since we really thought that we already have the tickets anyway, we didn't care much for the receipt. We complained to the manager of the travel agency but they can't help us since we have no proof. Aren't those fake tickets proof that we did transactions with their agency? What the agency did was they put the travel agent to jail but how about our money. Is the travel agency liable for all their employees actions and wrongdoings? Maybe anyone of you could help...
The person who hve issued the ticket his name will be there on the ticket and the Travel agency name that proof is enough for u to fight to get your money back. All the agency has got their code number and the Travel agency name on it when they issue the ticket.........good luck
Surely the police should have been informed to solve this matter.
Try Human rights Department also.
SUrely there should be a way to get your money back.

Yes, we all have those documents. But then the travel agency told us that the problem lies between us clients and the travel agent since there was no receipt issued under their name. What we supposedly wanted for the travel agency to do is to give us back the money we paid even if the travel agent is already in jail right now since at that time of transaction since it was all done in their office. This really pissed us off, and we are not the only victim, therés maybe more than 40 passengers under this dilemma right now, same agent, same travel agency.
That's disgusting!
Didn't you pay with a credit card? If so, the card company could give you the details.
Besides, the ticket (paper or electronic) would of necessity have details of passenger and issuing authority.
Good luck with finding a way to get your money back!
I'm sorry, I can't share the name of the agency for now, we are thinking of seeking legal action on this and after that then we could share it.What we can tell you now is once you booked with a travel agency, inquire right away your tickets to the airline and ask them if these tickets are paid already. This is a lesson for us, never trust no one...
Can you share us the name of agency who issued you a fake ticket so we can avoid them?
Yes. The fake tickeks would have information about who booked the tickets and when and what time. if the manager is unwilling to help, tell him you will go to the police. If he is still not willing, then go and complain to the police.
