Fake nuns trying to go to Lebanon

Six women were detained at Manila airport after being caught trying to sneak into Lebanon dressed as nuns in a bid to get around a travel ban to the country, according to the immigration bureau.

The Philippines has banned people from going to Lebanon to work as helpers since 2007 due to the security situation and inadequate legal protection for its labourers there.

"Their appearance aroused our suspicion especially after we noticed that one of them had red shoes, a colourful handbag and wore her nun?s costume improperly," airport immigration officer Joel Valencia said in a statement.

Investigators are now trying to locate the man who illegally recruited them for work in Lebanon, the bureau said.

Yup, the usual not " thinking through " routine...IF you wear a nun's habit, DO NOT wear red shoes...DO NOT carry fake LV bags, and DO know how to wear your costume properly. Just a few pointers for future use....;)

Btw...would it not be noted in their passport in some way that they are nuns?

NO, but I heard about the two poor nuns who get atacked by thugs whilst walking through the park. As the ruffians rip their habits from them, sister Elizabeth casts closes her eyes and whispers "Forgive him Lord, for he knows not what he is doing!"

Sister Mary turns and moans, "Oh Goodness, mine does!!!"

Did you hear the one about the man who opened a dry-cleaning business next door to the convent?

He knocked on the door and asked the Mother Superior if she had any dirty habits.

That's really funny, but in the serious note I feel sorry for those people who are putting themselves in such an awkward position just to get out and feed their families. Human trafficking gone wrong!

As long as there is poverty and need, people will try and get around such bans.

This is why there will always be people willing to come to the Gulf - no matter what the conditions.

Immigration Officer approached and one of the Nuns said to the other "show him your cross"

"f**k you, you bloody b*st*d" she shouted.

"no, i meant the cross around your neck" said the first Nun.

Okay, that didn't actually happen.
