N8, BB or IPhone
..as i plan to buy a smartphone myself, why would you recommend that i buy a Nokia N8, a Blackberry Touchscreen or an IPhone..?..what would be my advantage if i were to buy your recommendation..?
..hope your posts would mention something about connectivity and enhanced communication...
..or would you recommend an android phone..?..which one would be best..?
..but how is iphone in qatar in terms of availability of the phone itself, accessories, supports, applications and others that one may need to fully enjoy the functionalities of iphone 4..?
Nokia (N8/etc)
Excellent battery, call quality and camera but not a good smart phone. If you want a phone for making calls and occasional internet browsing then nothing can beat Nokia. I still keep Nokia E90 Communicator as my secondary phone (best keyboard ever) and I will definitely buy the next communicator (E9 maybe?) whenever it comes out from Nokia.
Black Berry
BB sells standard features to corporates calling them premium. Avoid this at all cost.
Android
A raw power house that you can play around and experiment with and try to squeeze some more out of it everyday. An excellent device for nerds or people who like to mess up with new features and customize it everyday. Raw means you have to occasionally cope with reboots, application crashes or some instability. Android despite of its features and customization is still not a polished product. If you are a technojunkie, android is for you. I convinced all my family and friends to buy androids. My android experience is based on the several androids I had including HTC Desire, Samsung Galaxy S and HTC Desire HD.
iPhone
Not the best thing out there but does everything in a stable way. Jack of all I would say. I was using iPhone 3GS and moved to HTC Desire (android), then Samsung Galaxy S (android) and later HTC Desire HD (andriod again) just to find an excuse to stick to android but moved on to iPhone 4. Now my wife and father are already using it and I have already convinced a couple of friends to move from android to iPhone.
Conclusion: Get an iPhone 4 :)
I have the Samsung Galaxy S. It is rooted and has the latest firmware and a custom ROM.
The stories you here about it being made of plastic are true but it is light and the build quality is excellent. I have dropped my phone twice and it still does not have a scratch on it.
I can add or remove any apps, even the original Samsung bloatware.
Smartphones have short battery life, so you might be recharging your phone daily, a typical battery has a life of 500 charge cycles, so in a bit less than 2 years you will need to replace your battery, can you do that with a Apple without taking it to a store?.
Ask a question on QL and you will be no closer to making a decision.
Set yourself free and get an Android phone.
Samsung Epic 4G (Sprint)- go for this..
go for galaxy s, better than whole phones you mentioned here
..am inclined to go for IPhone 4 because already am aware of the premium materials put into it among other superior features it has but it needs jailbreaking..?
..as i see, iphone are made to be used in the US or where they wanted to sell it..much like the region coding in DVD before, am i right..?..as such, is it possible to use the iphone in qatar as a normal phone with normal services..?..another thing is, does the video call in iphone limited only to other iphone users also..?
..i would have wanted an android phone because of the unlimited possibilities on usage it offers right now but are there any other premium phones other than HTC..?..what's the downside with Sony Ericsson..?..am a long time Nokia user (i really miss my 5800 snatched here by a local) and may need sometime getting used to a Sony Ericsson..
..i agree with most of the insights on BB since it really defeats the purpose of communication unless all of your friends are using BB...
..to sum it up..i want an iphone but because am reading a lot of posts giving me the impression that it is not really made for qatar yet am inclined to go for an android phone..soon..thanks, everyone...

it depends upon your requirements and budget if u can afford an iphone u can go for an iphone as its much powerful than BB or NOKIA even nokia phones are good but the BB and iphone comes under SMARTPHONE category so go for BB or iphone or enter the site called
www.gsmarena.com
iphone is any way is better then all nokia mobiles
asked this ( very similar ) question a few days, but seeing as it's YOU, here's my £0.02p's worth...
N8 runs on Symbian ^3. Which is only just fractionally better than Symbian S60 v5 ( N97) in my view, and as an ex N97 owner, I think I'm qualified to say it was a huge let down. At the moment, Nokia high smartphones are lagging behind. it's ok in the mid range phones ( X6 / 5800 etc ), but really, Symbian ^3 is not as good as Android or IOS.
BB - don't really know much about them, as they seemed to be used by schoolgirls to constantly BBM their classmates.
iPhone. Again, from the little I know, they are loved by millions, so must be doing something right.Absurdly expensive though for what it does.
So, the best bet, IMHO, is an Android phone, they are plenty around, and increasing day by day. Easy to use, and powerful, and much cheaper than iPhone.
So, there you have it. Good Luck
if u wait for few months and get the new upcoming iphone5 in june or july. that will be the best choice
