I want to sell my car. What is the process here in Doha?
By ktineguzman •
I have a car loan which I would like to transfer to my husband since I am resigning from work. For this, I suppose I need to sell the car to my husband and he needs to buy it from me. Any idea how we could go about it?
Thanks everybody! That's a big help! :) Will call my bank to transfer the loan then.
Why you need to sell the car to your husband? Just ask him to pay the bank loan on behalf of you as you won't be receiving any salary. If you are planning to leave the country, then consult with your bank for the required formalities to transfer the loan in your husbands name.
1. Go to Bank with ur hubby......and chk with them how to transfer it from ur name to hubby....??....or
Get money from ur hubby and finish the loan and get clearance letter from the bank and go to Insurance office to transfer the name and go to Traffic dept with ur hubby with original id and there you will finish ur work withing hour by the help of agent or urself

If it's a direct exchange, you will need to first transfer your insurance to your husbands name. Then go to Madinat Khalifa transport department and ask one of the mandoob's hanging around to do the paperwork for you. You have to pay them, not much but usually a couple of hundred riyals and then also the transport department as well which is about the same.
since its under bank loan your husband can just take over the loan, you'd have to take this matter up with your bank. Else normally you are required to settle the car loan in order to sell the car or get a buyer to take over the loan.
