Hi qlers,

Need your thoughts on this.

I'm currently working 5 days a week, fri & Sat off, straight time. If in case someone will offer me a job QR 3500 more than my current salary but to work 6 days a week. Is it reasonable to give up my saturday's off in exchange of my son's time. He's 3y/o.

at all, if 3500 would be an additional for 4 days work it means you are receiving more.... you cannot replace the time you are spending with your son its PRICELESS....

Ask your son the question (in simpler terms) and we both know what he will say. I have teenagers and their childhood has gone by in the blink of an eye and you cannot get that back. On the other hand kids cost money and lots of it. Soon he will be asking for all kinds of expensive gear and technology and that bike does not buy itself. Is he happy with his current carer? If he is happy when he greets you at the door when you get home from work, then take that extra work. If he cries when he greets you at the door when you get home from work then he is unhappy and misses you and you should stay home.

Time is always more important than Money...

But I guess after a few months the child will be going to school and you will be at home doing nothing on those days...

Another factor will be the timing of the job will it be shorter or longer hours than the present...

The decision rests with you

if 3500k additional to you monthly gross go for it, take it... but if it's the total...nope, I wouldn't!...

I believe if you are not in need for this money, then don't let an amount of 3,500QRS that you don't need come between you and your son. And if you are in need for it, then go for it, and try to manage spending your whole day off with your son. It's a good offer by the way.

Good luck!

Cheerio!

it depends on your current salary. if it is worth as a percentage, go for that. At the end, you will go back to your homeland earlier than you planned. And you will have time for your beloved son.

Calculate:

Current salary + 3500 = NET

NET/24 = Expected Per Day

Current Salary/20 = Current per day

Expected PEr Day - Current Per Day = Effect

Is EFFECT worth the pain?

you decide :)

It is you to decide whether QR 3500 is worth more or spending 4-5 days more with your son is better. It is your personal choice and all depends upon how do you perceive the issue

Discuss with your partner to make the choice. 3.5k is for giving up a saturday, plus making your weekend shorter doesnt seem worth it!
