A few Questions if i may?

I am starting work in Doha on the 1st of April, and not having worked from home before, and leaving my wife and children behind, and with accomodation being provided by Qatar Airways, I was wondering about the following?

1) What, apart from clothes etc, do I need to bring over with me?
2) Do i need to buy a clothes iron before i come?
3) How cheap are taxis to travel to get food and what are the supermarkets like?
4) What other recommendations would you give?

I appreciate these questions may seem silly, but i would appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks
Andy

Buy wrinkle free clothes...Don't iron...it's a waste of time. I never iron my clothes. I wear it with the wrinkles.

Are you serious about Question 2) ?!!

Taxis are cheap, but not available when you need them. And you really don't want to be waiting on the street in 50 Degrees C heat. Private on call taxis are a better option. They cost appox 8-12 GBP per trip within Doha. You could work out a monthly deal with them until you get your driving license.
