Hi,

Bit of a problem here. My girlfriend and I supposed to be visiting my parents in Qatar for Easter. I'm a British citizen, so I can get a visa at the airport. However, we're having some difficulty in getting one for her as she's a Polish national and the only way seems to be to book an extortionately priced hotel for the duration of her stay (which we can't afford).

Has anyone got any advice on the situation? Is there any other way to get her a tourist visa? Considering Qatar is hosting the world cup this seems to be a very convoluted way of getting a visa!

Why British embassy needs 2 weeks to give the visa, they will host the Olympic games ? Why Poland need two weeks to give a visa ?

She can go to Qatar embassy in the place she lives
