Family Visa

I heard that there is some new rule that has come by where the profession stated on your Qatar ID is also an important part for family visa approval.

I am drawing a salary of Qrs. 9000 [the min required is Qrs. 7500 i think] but though i am an HSE Engineer my profession on the ID states as Technician [this is because most companies use whatever visa is available to them] I heard they normally reject a Technician's visa even if the salary criteria is satisfied. Can someone shed light on it.

Incase it is an issue, is there any way of changing my profession? Should my company have a new Engineer visa avaiable for them to change my profession?

sadly my company doesnt assist in family visas. they only give us the NOC and sal certificate and we have to do the rest either directly or with any outside PRO.

i suggest that you should talk to your company for a help, this problem in the profession is quite big even if you're in the government company..

Yes this visa may be changed. You should get your educational degree attested by your country embassy in Qatar with its translation in arabic. Then you have to get it verified/attested from Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Now your company shall apply for change of profession which shall be approved by Immigration. But this is only possible after one year of Resident Permit stamping.

You are on the same scenario with my husband, I rather suggest you to speak directly to your PRO, he can give you the right answer, suggestions what to do and what you will do with reference to family visa...This is what we did and everything was clear at the end. Good luck
