I need a job..... please someone help!!!
Im an English graduate, who has experienece of working as a teaching assistnat for 5 years, I also have a TEFL certificate....
I am moving to Qatar in the middle of April
chocoholic, didn't mean to be dismissively flippant. Actually I have a half-time job in Qatar that I get out of bed for - for free. I give my time.

I am also bit lost here. You are going to join your husband, aren't you? I hope he doesn't live on the shore under the palm tree? Join him, and get yourself busy with some job...
I've known plenty of TAs who have gotten out of bed in the mornings for that low-paying job.
Ladies who were teachers, architects, attorneys, social workers, nurses, etc. in the their previous lives.
Not for the money, but to stay busy, have a purpose and keep from losing their minds living in Qatar.
wermovingtoqatar...is your husband not working here? Or is his salary not enough to take care of his family? If so, you best try to get an expat job while you are in the UK. Locally hired Teaching assistants make, to my knowledge, about 5000 QR in Western schools (you may have to be a native English speaker), and a lot less in non Western schools. At least that is what I have been told.
how will i survive if i dont work? i mean accomadation is high too.... it wud be the 4 of us...
Prepare to be shocked at the low salaries you will be offered as a teaching assistant. Personally, I wouldn't bother getting out of bed for that little.

RP - Residence Permit!!!
why are you stressing so much about finding a job?
may sounds silly but what does rp stand for?
then as nomerci said, come here, get your RP and get the job. good luck.
my husband is already in Qatar, myself and our two daughetrs will be joining him...
Are you moving with your husband?
Are you moving with your husband?
I second NoMerci's thots!
wermovingtoqtar, have you applied for an expat job?
You would defo not get an expat job as a teaching assistant, only local hire. You have to come here, get your RP and then see if you can find a job as a TA .
As a full teacher, yes, if there is need and you have what they are looking for.
At least that is what I know about this....maybe somebody else knows better.
Apply British Council Qatar
i have tried that but had no joy :-(
Apply for a job at the international schools here in Qatar.
