I am just going to clarify my participation in this thread. I did not post until those that were invariably going to get deleted, had gone. It came as no surprise to me that they got deleted, and it should have come as no surprise to them either.

When I did post it was simply to inject some humor and to try and diffuse tension that had built up in the thread. Now obviously not everyone finds my sense of humor palatable. The proof of that was the threats of physical violence against me that followed. Anyway I did not post for any reason other than to lighten the load. If anyone found my warped sense of humor offensive, then I apologies to them unreservedly.

However I would like to point out that no one has died here. We all know that those deleted will be back soon enough. Lets be honest they did not hold their IDs long enough to have become too attached to them so no great loss there. Perhaps each time they get deleted they become a little more aware of the line they are crossing. Then again perhaps they don't care about building an ID long term, and are happy creating new IDs every now and then in return for having an occasional tantrum. The choice is theirs; swim with, or against the flow.

As for the people mourning the demise of IDs, come on, get real, you know why they have gone.

The OP was certainly controversial. The weapons and ammunition were supplied, and others took them up and fired them. They should not have taken the bait.

It gives some kick to them in their otherwise sad, cold, non-existent (to others) life by getting a few banned, name sake...else who recognises them ....they just try to fight day and night this way to remind people they also exist but alas they fail each time...and the saga continues...wait for another 'bodyline' thread after 4-1/2 weeks...:)

I do happen to think like you, there should be a forum that is called; ‘Vent here’ – this could be a forum were ANYBODY and EVERYBODY should be able to say what they want and mean it; swear, be controversial , but then move on.

The equivalent of a partner/ loved one- going to the pub/walking out of a room to vent, but really can see the point of view but is unhappy they were attacked.

I like sometimes the fact that posters are allowed to vent; if we were in a debating forum in a College or University –we would not be ‘shot down’ or ‘booted off’ so yes the MODs do need to look at what is obvious ‘racism’ ‘or abuse ‘or just a honest retort or a passionate display of loyalty to what they believe.

What I do not like; as TB, Tinkers and a few others have said – banter should be viewed as ‘diffusing a situation’ not a hijack or trolling.

Should Indians and Pakistanis have their own forums – they do – they created them and they use them.

Westerners have their own forums too by the way.

Ignore the trolls and the hijackers- like they ignore us

The Cricket threads were fantastic – it was like being sat in a bar with any sporting fan – they get emotional –sometimes out of order in my eyes- but most of the time it is not racism per se – it is men/women who are winding each other!

Let them be – they really deep down do not harm you, me or anybody else and do not harm what is the essence of QL.

Perhaps you Nomerci need to learn the art of ‘dipping out’ of a thread that has nothing to do with you :-/

There are so many Pakistani & Indians living in Qatar and they can use this forum to express themselves as they like.

QL is already designed in such a way that you are fully allowed to be extremely selective to reply/or not to reply or be part of a forum or a thread.

If something is not as per your liking you can even flag it as offensive.

Banter is what gives QL life. Without banter it may as well be QLWiki containing nothing but facts. Sometimes though, some users become a little over zelouse and over do it a bit.

Sometimes some ID's get overheated and cannot remain civil.

Debating is good, but when it reaches the stage of threats, well either heed the warnings to calm down, or start creating your new ID in readiness.

since i have no interest (and no idea) on the previous threads (Cricket), i stay away from QL, ignore the threads (including the threats) and the days are over. :)

night_vision...Actully, this forum was also peaceful & meaninful long time back. There used to be a very intellectual kinda discussions around here but then came the twist. These Pakistanis, Indians, Filipinos, Bangladeshis & SriLankans invaded the site & messed everything up.

These invaders are stupid enough to get provoked easily & are stubborn enough to come back with a new ID after getting deleted (with recommendation of the Intellectual Senior Users).

I am a member in 5 different forums, 3 of which are Arabic, and I never saw such threads and such comments and people using some weird languages.

If there is a public forum, then anyone has the right to post anything, and its up to the mods to allow it or delete it. But it seems that this is the last log in I am making on this site. Bad. Awful. Will go back to our peaceful and meaningful forum. People there are mature, adults, educated and helpful. They appreciate others' efforts, but you guys are full of hate to each other.
