Wife with small salary to sponsor Visit visa

Hi guys,
""CAn a wife with small salary sponsor her husband on visit visa only?"

There maybe some previous threads about this topic, tried to search but didn't get lucky to find right/complete info.

My sister in law wanted to get his husband on visit visa but she has small salary only. Is she allowed?

The husband is my brother. He had worked here in Qatar till December last year but cancelled. He was given NOC though.

Her wife's company said that she can't sponsor her husband even only visit visa? It's not allowed. How true?

Any ideas?

I had the same problem before also.... My wife's sister wanted to come. Previously she had come on tourist visa which was available at the airport immigration, but has now been stopped. Maybe 2009 or so I applied for visit visa for her, but immigration officer said that it was not allowed to bring wife's sister, as it can be sister/brother/mother/father only of the main sponsor, not of his spouse who he is sponsoring. strange.... anyways, i just recently applied for her again at it got accepted for the 6 months visit visa.

So if your husband has good salary, get NOC letter from his company that he wants to bring his wife's brother on visit. Go to messimeer immigration in the evening ( i think the officers seem to be nicer in the evenings... 3 to 7pm) and apply there. Good luck !

For my side, i've tried that before way back 2008 when i first brought him here. We were rejected.

Anyways, thanks for the infos. We'll check again from my husband's company.

tummy fire. your husband can sponsor ur brother on a visit visa which will be valid for 3 months.

yes, i do understand she might not meet the salary requirement but i think she should first try and get the NOC from the company. The salary requirement rule is something new i have also hear of.

if you want to sponsor your brother, you can ask your husband to do so. he will need an NOC from his company though.

Hi Nishan,

I don't think she meets that salary requirement. For my side, i can't sponsor my brother either since i'm under my husband's spnsorship.

If that will be the case, then had no choice but to get him a tourist visa for one month.

just a note to add... if your sis in law wants to sponsor her husband, she has to get a NOC from the company (and this is where the mandoub might have said no). she can speak to her HR and get the sponsorship letter though.

BTW, looking at one of the threads a couple of days ago, there seems to be a new rule that the salary of the sponsor has to be 5000 QR to sponsor a family member.

real.qatar, thank you so much.

Sadly, it was her PRO (Mandoob) told her that not allowed to sponsor. Yes, we can get hotel visa or tourist visa thru an agency but we prefer the family visit visa because this gives him 6 months. Business Visa not applicable. In philippines they will not allow him to go.
