Hello, I am actually coming to Doha on May 3, 2011 for work related meeting which will take place on May 4 and leaving back to America on May 5...My training should last about 4-6hrs tops and was trying to go out to see the city once I am done with training I was wondering how much would a taxi driver charge to take me from the airport hotel to the city to site see for a few hrs if you can let me know how much it will run me in USD that will greatly be appreciated I know i don't have much time there but the few hours I do have I want to make the best of it....thanks in advance.

Thanks for the comments :) Lets just say I am not that high up maybe in the future for them to give me my own driver and car....but I got a better Idea of things so hopefully I will work it out when i get there thanks again for the comments since i will be there for such a short period any suggestions on what i should see? the downtown area looks pretty nice with all the LED lights and everything near the water....but any suggestions will greatly be appreciated thanks!

or a training session, why don't you ask the company who is organising that to give you one of their drivers and a car for those few hours?

No need to pay a taxi. you could also hire a car for about $35 aday:-)

if u hire a taxi with bargain then for a hour u can hire in maximum 30-40 Qatri Rayal (approx. 9-11$), remember its maximum rate of a taxi (as per day Self Drive Taxi can be avail in 120-150 QR). Its maximum price, U will meet a number of person / private taxi drivers there (on the road / airport etc). Just bargain with them and rate with them per hour basis, its better for u.
