Thank you for all your answers. This isn't such a concern for me, rather an information I couldn't find anywhere. I just want to understand the proccess better, it is a very different country than where I've been before :)

I am very much looking forward to coming to Qatar! I think it's going to be a great experience!

Tks for your warm welcomes :)

When we arrived and went for all our formalities, our company took us to the photography shop and did the pics for us - They kept 25 of each of us.

Now, anything I need legal paperwork for and needs a pic, the company attach one of the ones they have (5yr old pic) to that documentation...

Its the norm, don't worry:-)

Anyway when you go to the photo shop for the visa picture you will have 15 copies of passport size photo and 1 for a picture frame. :)

Our company liason always asks for a recent picture every year they renew my work visa. And I diligently submit a recent photo.

But each time I receive the renewed visa, I see that the picture I submitted is stapled at the back of my passport and the new visa and ID still has the first picture for my visa first time I arrived here.

The only good thing is that in that photo I don't have white hair. :)

What they will do with ur photo. U r giving with shirt . Plea make issues for such small things. Its practice, almost all companies. Not only for RP but also for Company Id and Medical and ......KM permissions....... it may required.

Think how to work. Dont spoil your mind with small issues.

Good luck and welcome to qatar.

Welcome to Doha. Friendly warning to you, if you have a habit of complaining about such small issues, then you are going for a very rough ride. They asked you for so many photos because they know what they are doing.

I think that is normal for a new comer as there are so many documents in which your photographs are required.
