help on data recovery softwares..

My seagate 500gb external drive malfunctioned. I've tried seagate's troubleshooting but wasn't useful. Can anyone suggest a data recovery software?I wanted a software tried and guaranteed working. I have more than 5 gb of important files on it. Need help guys esp kabayans out there. Thanks!

I'm also opting for replacement.Suggestions on brands?Thanks again:D

then I'd suggest couriering the HD to a company in Singapore who has the expertise to do it. You will have to bear the expense of the couriering and a nominal fee. Lemme know if you need it.

WD 1TB is QR399 or so at PC One :o)

Don't go for Verbatim - I had quality issues with them.
