Will they join?
Arab countries urged to become members of the international criminal court
Arab countries are inadequately represented in the Rome Statute, the basis of International Criminal Court (ICC) and should take steps to become members, ICC officials said yesterday. ICC, along with the Qatari Public Prosecution Office, is holding the first regional conference on the institution for two days starting today.

s_isale.... LOL
but they dont play cricket, do they?
Terrifying. I am looking out my window right now to see if the sky is falling.
I know.
Quite sad isn't it :o(
Oh I know the problems of the ICC, but it is better to have a flawed system that can be fixed than no system at all.
Never thought I would see the day you agreed with W :-)
justice should mean "equality for all".
This is not the case with the ICC. It is at present a tool for others to pick and choose who they want to go after and whom to ignore.
When George W made a speech regarding his refusal to join the iCC , he voiced that he wanted to protect his citizens from "the possibility of unwarranted and politically-motivated persecutions."
This is exactly what the ICC is doing at present....
All non members should be urged to become members, and the organisation should truly become ICC, that is if the members truly abide by thier protocol ALWAYS.
What would you propose they do instead, britexpat? After all, some of the worst crimes taking place against civilian population now are in the Arab world.
Qatar and others should be weary of the ICC, which was supposed to be an International Court with justice for all; but has not held true to its ideals.
