Protector of immigrants Pakistan

Dear all,

1. Is it necessary to get the passport stamped from protector of immigrants Pakistan, if some body is coming to Qatar on visit visa??

2. I've heard that Qatar employment visa is stamped on passport in Qatar not in Pakistan, so what sort of document is issued to the person offered employment to proceed to Qatar?? Is that a visa visa first and then after arriving in Qatar it is converted in employment visa??

Could some one reply in detail??

Best regards

Hi,

Can you please give me more details on how to get Protector stamped from Pakistani Embassy in Doha?

I arrived in Qatar on a business visa and my firm later on changed it into work visa, I am still waiting for my RP which is not yet done.

I am having a 10 days off coming week and want to go back to meet my family, my firm has given me an exit and re-entry visa already but someone told me that I would need a Protector of Emigrant to exit from Pakistan. I am little bit confused as I would have only five working days there and you never know the situation in Pakistan so If could get it done from here that would be a great relief for me.

If you have any information about it please share, I will be really grateful.

Thanks

If you are comming on work visa then you have to get protector stamped from pakistan, and once you reach here after medical this visa will be convert into employment visa.

while if you are comming on visit visa then protector not required.

Wish you good luck in Qatar.

You could read in detail on the OPF website.

This is mandatory for pakistani citizens taking up employement abroad. It is not just an insurance policy but it also registers your whereabouts and helps the national database. Incase of any mishaps you are insured, plus if you come into contractual disputes with your employer, then OPF can help you legally. Well the thought behind protector is good (atleast the charter is in our favour) ... but will OPF honour or help is another matter... everything backhome is based on corrupt practices. If you ever go back to pakistan and while returning they find that u dont have a protector, then they will force you to stay back and complete the process... Avoid all the hassles and surprises just spend 6+K and get the protector stamped. If u want more clarifications then call me on +974-6646-8056. Rgds

If you are coming on work visa which is in fact a work visit, you must do your protector in Pakistan, which is not a big issue, even the travel agents also do it at their sources. But if you are coming on visit visa, then no need of anything. In both cases no need to do anything with the visa in Pakistan, just bring a photo copy of visa with you to the airport and all the rest will be done here in Qatar.
