Peruvian pisco to be sold in Qatar

Good news for fans of the drink:

Peruvian pisco, the country's flagship drink, will be sold in Qatar as negotiations concluded successfully between Qatar Distribution Company (QDC), the only government company of Qatar authorized to import alcoholic beverages, and Peruvian Enterprises, the local official wholesaler in England of Vista Alegre vineyard.

The Qatari company made contact with producing firms of Pisco from Lima and Ica and later with its representatives in European countries, where most of QDC's alcohol imports come from.

During the first week of September of 2011, 40 boxes of Pisco Sol de Ica Quebranta from Vista Alegre vineyard will arrive in the city of Doha. This will be the first purchase for QDC to cover the Qatari demand for this drink.
