You can use virtual encrypted channel inside your regular Internet connection. It's called VPN - Virtual Private Network. In this way you can unblock Facebook as well as any other website or Internet service.
I have used this one http://vpnprivacy.com/european-vpn-server.html european VPN server in Doha. Worked very good.
You can try this: http://www.highspeedvpn.com/.It unblocks all sites and encrypts your traffic. However if your company decided to block Facebook, they might have a good reason for it. I use the VPN sometimes at work because it hides my personal instant messages from the IT dept, but we are allowed to use MSN in the office, so it`s a different story.
using fb at work could compromise your privacy. if you're working for a company where data security is very important, chances are the it department is like a big brother that has tabs on your every move while you're using your office pc. everything you do can be tracked and monitored. that includes how long you've been staying on a particular site, which sites you're visiting, and whatnot. that includes your 'i hate my job' and badmouthing the boss status messages.
i had a colleague in my old job back home who got a warning from our regional it simply because she uploaded a picture of herself with her office pc visible in the background on a social networking site. she used her home pc when she uploaded it but the it dept found it anyway. the warning said company/customer information may be compromised because some people might read what was on the computer monitor behind her. we were not allowed to take pics in the office after that.
I thought you are only allowed to use scissors and hair brush in the salon?? hmmmm....can't live without FB? lame!!...Try to work so you could have money to buy food so you could live and wont die of starvation.. lol
Besides, using FB is not included on your contract, so you dont need to complain if they blocked it.
Why FB at work? Return your service to the company according to what you have been paid every month and show professional practice throughout your stay.
do your work! there's a valid reason why fb (or all internet access in my case) is blocked at work. if you're that stubborn buy a phone that has an app for it. company revenues are lost on employees that waste resources and time on unproductive things.
You have to hack into the administrator's system for that. I am not sure but I think hacking his system may well be considered a criminal act here. Is using FB at work worth committing a crime?
