Hi guys,

Can someone please help me with some information about the cost of living in Qatar, I am curently living in Abu Dhabi with my wife and my son and have been offered a job out in Qatar. I need to have a breakdown of my cost of living to negotiate my salary package. I would like to send my son to a good english school and would also need at least a two bedroom villa preferably with a pool. I need to incorpate fees for utilities, gym and social costs, a family car for rent and so on.

I am extremely gratefull for anyone who can help me.

kindest regards

I am working here in Qatar through direct here since Nov. 7,2010 to present. I landed here last Nov. 4, 2010. I have an OEC issued by POEA RU10 at CdO & I also have a "pataka" with me expiring on Nov. 6, 2011 but I only have with me the offer letter & no employment contract, I did not even sign one. How would I register to POLO-OWWA & what are the requirements?

2 bedroom villa - Not avbl easily... min is 3 bedroom, starting from 9K/ month

On second thought, you need to tell us what work you're into, so we can accordingly tell you what the salary range here in Qatar is.

I can tell you roughly 30-35K at the min, is what you would look at with the lifestyle you suggested, but if you're into admin work, that is definitely NOT what you will earn here :-P
