I am an Engineer working in doha. I am on company Visa. I have a two year contract with my current company and 1.5 years remaining in it. now i got a better job offer from another company. can i go for it according the law?or when can i change? what are the procedures?
Sorry this is not a answer for his question , let me know minimum how many months completed from RP stamped date to get the permit to work for another sponsor for a specific period. I think it is normally a 6 months no objection certificate.
No change in the law. you have to wait for one year to change the company, that too if your current sponsor is willing to give you a release. Had the same issue, got a job offer after 2 months of coming here, but the sponsors were adamant on the release thing.I only got release and noc after one year(i.e.,last week). even if they give you a release b4 one year, you may perhaps have problems with the immigration dept(not sure though, i heard it from an HR manager who interviewed me once).
but you can ask your company for a secondment(permit to work for another sponsor for a specific period).it is normally a 6 months no objection certificate. try to negotiate with the new company for that. after 6 months you can probably change the sponsor as you'll be completing one year by then.
