Doha-upcoming fiber opt. broadband structure.
Gradually, the areas that are in the coloured boxes will be running fiber optic broadband connection.
1st yellow
2nd Red
3rd Blue
4th green
5th Pink
Blue(where i stay) will be complete next year this month roughly.
can't wait to enjoy 50mb OR higher speed by the same price as 2mb.

Well Jhopp, we never know. what i heard from him was that the speed will increase with the rates remaining the same. We never know unless its totally established and announced.
Are you sure the prices will not increase? I find that hard to believe. Currently 400QAR for a 4Mb line is considered astronomically high for any part of the modern world.
I've also been told about this Fiber project by Qtel employees for the last two years. I am not holding my breath to see this at my doorstep anytime soon. LOL

I only asked about blue because that is where I stay..
There are other informations that I was told not to share in public about this project. Even Qtel did not announce Any dates officially.
Like I mentioned, they r working on part by part in the colour sequence.
Many have already got their connections.. Partially the once who have contacts with the project manager.
I'm waiting for blue to start as my line will be the first they will work on as promised to me :D
Do you have approximate deployment dates for each of these areas?I will be looking to move soon. How do I find out if the next residence is within these areas, aside from trying to visualize from this map?
