Problem with new Thomson Modem
I recently installed a Thomson Wireless Modem. I was previously using a normal modem without WiFi. But ever since I installed new Thomson Modem I am not getting the Internet Connection properly. There is a frequent disconnection of internet and I will have to switch off and switch on the Modem many times. Can anybody help me to fix this problem ?
Hey guys, some times a sloppy network connection caused by a defective router, all though, this issue might be fixable, I fixed few connections with the same disconnection issue with Thomson router. You need some networking tools to fix this (do a site survey to minimize interference, and more...) If you want your connection fixed permanently, contact me. @poymaasin , Could you please suggest me any good Modem, which wont have these issues ?
are you still using the thompson router? Lol, that is the problem with thompson and even if you update the firmware still the problem is there, erveryday 20x disconnect like refreshing...try to change your router and the problem is solve..
I am using Thomson Wifi Modem which was working without any such issues but recently, I mean for the last two weeks my ADSL connection is getting dropped frequently. It is really annoying as I am unable to watch the movies on my Mozaic TV properly. I have already posted the complaint on line and I have an sms from them informing that they are processing it and will let me know if there are any updates. I thought it is only the problem of my connection or modem.
Try contacting Q-Tel and explain them your problems.
We are also facing same problems, and ask also so many times Qtel people to change the Modem, but they just argue we will work now,we have made now setting ur programme and now it is ok,. but problem of every now then stop and need to turn ON - OFF. may be problem in Thomson Modems, But Qtel never hear u.

Even the new Thomson Modem (ver.8) has the same old problem. You have to turn it off and on as what I'm doing everyday. Make it as a routine turning it off & on.
