Guys,

We [myself, my friend and her husband] are planning on a road trip to bahrain from qatar during this EID [30th Aug - 5th Sept]. Can some one give an idea on how we go about it.

1. We plan to rent a 4 wheel drive. What would be the rent for 6 days and which rental can we approach

2. Visas. Our professions on the Qatar ID says Technician. Can we get on arrival visa in Bahrain. [Please guide on the visa formalities for Saudi and Bahrain]

3. Approximate cost for the entire road trip and the places of visit in Bahrain.

4. Paperworks required [visas. car insurance etc]

This will be our first road trip in the middle east so any suggestion will be of help to us.

I think you need the owner of the vehicle with you when u leave the country which makes it hard to rent a car. Not sure about this, but would be wise if you checked with someone more knowledgeable first :)
