Earlier it was not required, but now it is.

as per the new rules of qatar central bank the car loan can't be granted unless 20% of the car value is paid in advance.

I took my Honda car from Domasco through my bank IBQ. Not a single riyal came out from my pocket. After signing the required papers I got the keys and drove off.

No it is not. Kia is giving cars on 0% down payment and that may be for the others also. 20% or 30% is for private finance companies not banks. But as said above, it depends on the bank also.

No they are not. QNB has an offer where you pay 20% INTEREST FREE. and then the rest as normal.Just bought a car a few weeks back.
